Murderbaad is a 2025 Hindi-language psychological thriller and whodunit film directed by debut filmmaker Arnab Chatterjee. The story, which begins in Jaipur and takes a dark turn with a missing tourist, is known for its slow-burn, layered approach that subverts a traditional love story into a deeper, more unnerving mystery. 

Plot summary

The story starts in Jaipur, where a soft-spoken tour guide named Jayesh (Nakul Roshan Sahdev) falls in love with Isabelle (Kanikka Kapur), an NRI tourist. The romance is short-lived, however, as a fellow tourist from their group disappears. As Jayesh becomes entangled in suspicion and then disappears himself, a nationwide hunt for him reveals a twisted web of secrets, psychological trauma, and a dark, shocking truth. The film's narrative also features a surprising third-act detour into West Bengal, which adds a new layer to the story.
