The film is set in the small coastal town of Bheemili in the early 2000s. It follows three friends and their wives who become strangely obsessed with a daily soap opera titled "Janma Janmala Bandham". At precisely 9 PM each night, the wives become possessed by a spirit linked to the serial, causing them to act erratically. The three friends, who also operate the town's only cable TV network, set out to solve this bizarre mystery. They eventually seek the help of a spiritual healer named Maya Matasri, played by Samantha in a cameo role.
