Squid Game season 3, episode 5, titled "Circle Triangle Square," the final round of the game begins atop three massive, geometric towers. The remaining players must kill each other to advance, with the last survivor winning the grand prize. This episode is the penultimate installment of the final season, which premiered on Netflix on June 27, 2025.

Gi-hun debates whether to accept In-ho's offer to kill the remaining players, but ultimately refuses after the memory of Kang Sae-byeok tells him that he is a good person at heart. Simultaneously, In-ho recalls how he killed other players during the 2015 games under Oh Il-nam's instruction. The next day, Gi-hun, Myung-gi, and the rest of the finalists – including the baby – advance to the final game. No-eul returns to the island, confronts the Officer at gunpoint, and forces him to erase all digital records of Gyeong-seok's participation. A violent fight ensues, ending with No-eul killing the Officer and burning all remaining physical records of the players, including one of herself as a guard. The final game, "Sky Squid Game", requires players to push at least three opponents off of three elevated platforms through three rounds. A hallucinating Min-su is pushed off in the first round; Myung-gi pushes Player 336 in the second and reveals himself to be the baby's biological father. Gi-hun kills Player 203 in self-defense, while Myung-gi pushes Player 353. Jeong-dae begs for mercy, but Myung-gi pushes him as well. Player 039 commits suicide by falling off, leaving only Gi-hun, Myung-Gi, and the baby left. Off the island, Jun-ho successfully rescues Gyeong-seok and executes the guards sent to capture him.

Episode synopsis

• The final game: Sky Squid Game The game takes place on three towering pillars shaped like a circle, triangle, and square. The players must push opponents off these platforms to survive. The perilous heights intensify the stakes, while a looming countdown clock adds pressure.
• A manipulative vote To eliminate the first player, the contestants hold a twisted "democratic" vote to choose a sacrifice. Myung-gi callously nominates Min-su, an emotionally and physically weakened player. After the vote, Myung-gi pushes Min-su to his death.
• Myung-gi's duplicity Myung-gi's greed and cruelty are on full display, as he actively works to eliminate others for a bigger share of the prize money. The episode's intensity builds as the remaining players turn on each other, with Myung-gi proving to be particularly brutal.
• Gi-hun's moral test Having previously refused to murder the other players in their sleep, Gi-hun remains resolute in protecting the infant Player 222. He confronts Myung-gi in a vicious knife fight on the final tower.
• The fall from the towers The struggle between Myung-gi and Gi-hun leads to both men tumbling off the tower. Gi-hun hangs onto the ledge, but Myung-gi falls to his death when his jacket rips.
• An uncounted death In a cruel twist, Myung-gi's death does not count toward the game because no one remembered to press the button to officially start the round. This leaves Gi-hun and the baby as the final two players, setting the stage for the series finale in episode 6
